Santosh was known as a child prodigy in music field specially as Harmoniamist. He is the disciple of well renowned harmonium maestro late Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar.

From 2002-2009 he was trained under Appaji. His performance in music field at a very small age is worth appreciating. He has been awarded with National Scholarship for Harmonium given by Indian Government and many other awards. He has his specialization in harmonium as a solo instrument & also matching harmonium to all styles of music like gazal, folk style, accompaniment etc. He has accompanied many great artists like Pt. BirjuMaharaj,Ust. Aslam Hussain Khan, Ust. Liyakat Ali Khan, Ust. Akram Khan, Pt. Kalinath Mishra, Pt. Shreedhar ParthSarth, Pt. AnandBhate, Pt. Ram Deshpande, Pt. Jayteertha Mevundi, Pt. Kaivalyakumar Gurav and many more.He has also performed in Dubai, Singapore ,South Africa, Madagascar, Bahrain, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Mauritius etc. His solo performances in Mauritius were appreciated by their Prime minister Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgulam. He has also performed in Dubai, Singapore ,South Africa, Madagascar etc.

He has performed in many fusion programs. He is one of the part of Tarang, Rangrangiya (MaatiBaani presents India and Pakistan's First Ever Online Music collaboration) andSurvishkar fusion groups. In remembarance of his Guru Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar ,he has collected old paper articles, photos and various interviews of legendary artists who were in the contact of Appaji. He wrote 'Sursakha' a book in remembrance of his Guru with the help of his friend G.K.Parmeshwar. His programmes have been broadcasted on Mtv, Doordarshan, Sahyadri, Namah TV (Karnataka), MBC (Mauritius), PakhawajParva( D.D BHARATI) . With his experience in music field and with the understanding of struggle that the up comers need to take he established 'Sanvadini Kala Manch' on 03/10/2010. Its work was started by selecting of 25 students in an orphanage who are interested in music. He also carried on a project called 'Mission Rural Area : Classical Music in which he created awareness among the people of rural area about Indian Classical Music. He is giving more importance to play harmonium as a solo instrument and is also carrying out research on this instrument.

Santosh desires to start a state award by the name of his Guru Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar. He also states that Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay should include the biography of such great artists like Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar in the syllabus. He is playing a very important role in the social and cultural development of his area.
